Week 6 was a sack of b#lls.
After the draft there was many questions asked of the teams with the punters facing team Keav as the favourites going into the game. Most likely going into the game unprepared team Keav were greeted by a team Zidane would be proud of. Team Lord were relentless and did not hesitate in burying team Keav early in the game. Passing the ball down the lines, holding up play and making positive runs team Keaveny couldn’t cope. With OCal barking orders, Gillis rocking up after 3 pints and Matley getting confused which players are on his team mixed with clinical finishing from Jarro, George and erm Smudge. Yes Smudge. When team Keav were already down in the dumps feeling like the world was closing in on them… smudge scored. Smudge scored a goal in open play. Kian smith slotted a goal home in a game of football. Anyway, after smudge scored the tensions were rising within Keav’s XI. For the first time we saw a different side to Lord as he encouraged and looked happy on the pitch. Cards on the table and it was nothing but disappointment for Keav and Team Lord were very impressive. However, tracksuit Swanny was back. This meant 1 thing. World class keeping. Saves off shots from Matley and Keav kept Lord well in it. Jarro very clinical and yes Smudge scored. Luckily for Keav. 2nd half came round. The 2nd half was much more competitive as Keav’s XI made progress and started to regain some confidence. The game was cagey, and many believed the game was done. The main man smudge then put a tackle in that was that late, the player had actually gone round him, made the pass and started running before the studs to the toe. More saves off Swanny kept Lord well well on top. Grus then squared the ball and Grillich decided to spice the game up and round it up to 5 by just turning it round the corner into his own net. Very deflated and down beat Keav carried on pushing but the Lord defence stood strong. Always with men available Lords team were undeniably stronger. A late goal from Jarro just rubbed salt in the wounds. The game was however very well conducted and I am in no doubt that team Keav will be back much stronger next week. Every member of team Lord were good with George, Berty and Lord having there best games to date. Keav’s team struggled with the whole team underperforming. Swanny could do with some lessons in decorum however it was a well rounded game that only ever had 1 winner. Smudge scored. Kian smith scored. Team Keav will be back stronger next week and people are optimistic for what’s to come in games going forward.
VAMOS!
