The U11’s fielded first as captain Harry won the toss.
Good opening bowling from Teddy and the U11 fielding was generally excellent.
Everyone fielded really well and the teams attention to the stumps was exemplary and ruthless as we pinned them down and kept them down to a reasonably low score of 82.
To work on: Listen a little more to instruction and be more ‘switched-on’ to the play but that’s only minor as fielding was great.

Batting we did ok.
It was a little hit and miss at the start as SMCC pinned us back. Bridget and Isaac were next in and put a few runs on the board and batted sensibly. Bridget was very attentive and is eager to listen and had a good knock.
Gabriel and Ali batted last for the final partnership as we would win the game so long as we didntlt lose wickets.
As it was we were well ahead by the time that partnership came to the crease and we just needed to bat sensibly.
Ali and Gabriel saw the team home comfortably in the end. The team need to listen and follow instructions a little more and they do need to work on their running between the wickets (without exception there were some risky kamikaze calls being made) but it would be churlish to moan as their tight fielding made it a comfortable win for the U11’s scoring 122.

Teddy was the Bowling/Fielding Player of the Match for his superb bowling
Isaac was the batting POTM for some sensible batting and good stroke play when we needed runs to get some space between us and them.

122 - 82 victory.
