The 22-year-old, currently in his final year at Loughborough University, played a pivotal role in Kendal’s success in the Northern League and T20 competitions, along with representing Cumbria on several occasions.

Delighted with the news, Shaw skipper Jack Pilling stated, “I am absolutely thrilled that Max has agreed to join us. Not only is he an exceptional cricketer, but he is also a fantastic person who has integrated seamlessly into the team.”

Reflecting on his move to Shaw, Max shared, “I was fortunate to be invited to play for the club during their recent trip to Jersey, where I instantly felt at home. Leaving Kendal, after such a successful and long tenure, was a tough decision. However, the ambition at Shaw, both on and off the field, is evident to everyone, and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Subject to league clearance, Max is expected to make his debut this Saturday in the season opener against local rivals Royton.
